It’s really great that people aknowledges his transformation as an actor. Even though the ratings of the drama wasn’t as good as his past dramas, even if there are a lot of peopel whom from the beginning said negative comments about the team up and all..still,he was able to prove to everyone that he can be as good as the senior actors he has worked with in TK2H..Truly he’s the BEST and can not be compared to anyone else in his generation.^^

I still acknowledge TK2H as a best drama though. Never did i became such a hardcore a big fan of Seung Gi oppa before this. But his transformation as Lee Jae Ha caught me! I’m thankful that the other male casts before him reject this over their other projects… hehehe

All that talk about ratings was so moot. TK2H and Seung-gi, the actor, are still making headlines almost 6 weeks since the drama has wrapped up.
i can say the other two dramas has some rating issues too and i think k2h has a fair rating i just dont know with all those write ups, and gosh k2h is very popular guys, i have to say i really fell in love with LSG in k2h, i fell in love with his charm,handsomeness,personality and of course his great perfomance of Lee Jaeha i think he is the only person who could play the part well his acting so natural, gosh i love him,sorry for my rant just cant help it.hahaha
agree with you…can’t imagine lee jae ha as someone other than lee seung gi. lsg’s popularity is not based on looks but more for his charm, and that is something that will do him extremely well in the long run. Looks will fade but charm will endure. tryp maybe you should do a little blurb on the latest podcast of dramabeans, they have good things to say about LSG, especially girlfriday..lol

i agree..why bother so much about the ratings if the story of the drama is just the same like the others^^ it’s just numbers that immature people tries to make a big deal.. I guess I am just quoting the ratings thingy to say that regardless of the so-called poor ratings..He and the drama tk2h managed to be on top of all the dramas because of the quality and the story^^ tk2h really had a huge impact to all the viewers! daebak!
Even if TK2H ratings was too low compared to other Seung Gi oppa past dramas, the impact of this drama brought up it’s important factors of reunification between South and North. It’s not command with baseless factors but infact it is a kind of drama with fresh issue. The actors may be star-strudded but everyone have their own characters that liven up the drama, that’s why even after the drama has wrapped up, this was still a hot issue. Especially Seung Gi oppa himself, he has proven everyone that he can too be level up with his seniors. Among all of things that he have gone through, his acting skills are truly an issue and i really acknowledge his character as Prince/King Lee Jae Ha. Kudos to you, Lee Seung Gi oppa! Really am proud of you! ♥
yeah..other dramas has the same issue..The story of tk2h is something fresh and very informative^^ He did level up on his acting and it’s great that his seniors also acknowledges his improvement on his acting skills..^^

Many who only liked him before, now ADORE him. Those who already loved him before K2H …well, they’ve been irreversibly ‘slayed’ by the potent charm & manliness that he displayed in K2H to d point of no backing out. The international fanbase has grown exponentially ! Isn’t that a larger percentage than domestic market? Seunggi be glad !
yeah..taking the risk of giving up the 2 shows he loved the most for this drama made it all worth it. He gained a lot from his experience with tk2h and i’m sure he’s very much aware of that.^^
yeah, it takes a lot of ‘balls’ to give up two hit variety shows. He’d been a part of 1n2d for 5 years and now was the right time to be done with it and move on to experiment with different things. I like the way he’s doing things his way.
It’s common knowledge that we diss Hook for LSG’s styling, etc, but with a smaller agency I feel he’s had more creative independence on the direction to take his career to…whether it be singing, acting, MCing. Kudos to LSG!
I agree with you fully. I watch tk2h cos of LSG and that drama; I downloaded but was too busy to watch and only in late April then I started. I only watched some epis live cos I nvr like to watch without subs. When JH sent HA back to NK in epi 10, I was walking and working like a zombie for a week waiting for the next epi. Nvr done so much crying in my life but in Kdrama.:)
I only got to watch and know this Korean Heartthrob or Kdrama late last yr. BL was my 2nd kdrama. The 1st few epis of BL, he was really a total brat and I nearly gave up which was the same for Tk2h, The 1st few epis, he was really annoying, I didn’t give up cos I like the plot. I cried so much when I saw the Berlin war collapsed in 1989 on TV and I really want the reunification of both Koreas.
I think LSG is still ignorant of his fan base cos when Razor TV(Singapore) interviewed him in January, he said he was surprised that he had nvr done any promotion in Singapore and he had such a big fan base and Airens (爱 人).(lately then I realized this come from the Chinese translations) I am really a moron. That was why I think he was so surprised when so many people recognized him in Poland. I mean Singapore is still in Asia but Poland is another story. I am also surprised that his fan base has gone global, as far as Latin America.
I heard this directly from the official staff who spoke to oppa:

Really?!! Seung-gi needs a reality check, heh. He may not be ‘idol’ famous but he is getting there by stealing hearts steadily. Dare I add that K2H really exploded his popularity with the international audience. I belong to this group. On dramabeans I conversed with other new LSG fans from the US, Canada, Jamaica, Bosnia, UK, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Middle-East, and India/Banlgadesh. It’s safe to add that since dramabeans’ inception never has a drama captivated the international audience as K2H did (with 1000-2000 comments on every episode recap in the latter half of the drama’s run).
Hope somebody can pass onto him this piece of news. Despite being a new fan it frustrates me that he thinks nobody knows him internationally!! :C
Yes, I also noticed in the recaps of DB.The last few recaps exited 2000. You have to pass the msg the those lucky ones in Sin to let LSG know. I understand he speaks quite good English.
I rewatch some of BL and TK2h’s epi in spanish; that is why I know he has such a huge fan base in Latin America, esp Ecuador, Peru, Mexico etc. I was on youtube with an Italian fan, I think she likes LSG also cos she did an MV on LSG’s tk2h. Someone posted the whole 20 epi of tk2h in spanish but I think they translated it directly fm the English version.
LSG was indeed surprised when I saw his reaction when he was in Poland when he met his fans.
In a sense TK2H simplifies a very complicated issue with lots of historical and highly personal/emotional baggage and chooses to highlight the essence – that is, people, love, and trust. A lot of Koreans could not get past the baggage, or did not want to face the issue. International fans don’t have such qualms and thus are able to enjoy and appreciate the drama for what it’s intended to do. The theme is certainly universal.
LSG values K2H for all the right reasons he mentioned but I doubt he can imagine how crazy the undercurrents are that this show has stirred! Everyone talks about him & the show with some intense glazed look !

LSG has become a thinking actor with K2H. All those ad libs that he spoke about….even between takes he must’ve been thinking/introspecting on how he could add something to the scene. He’s learnt to let go with this drama something that he hadn’t done before.
I hope he continues to work on his acting….and chooses his next role with care. Cuz I’m waiting with bated breath for him, already!!
