Actor and singer Lee Seung Gi confessed that he had experienced a slump after his debut in the entertainment industry.

On MBC ‘Section TV Entertainment Communications – Rising Star’ broadcasted on January 2, Lee Seung Gi said that after his debut in the entertainment industry, he had the toughest time soon after his 1st album activities had ended.

Lee Seung Gi, who played a prominent role last year in many different fields of the entertainment industry like dramas, show programs, etc, said “I was testing my own limits, and it seems like I had raised the limits of my physical strength again last year.”

Following his debut with “Because You’re My Woman” in 2004, explaining his toughest time after ending his 1st album activities, he revealed his thoughts at that time, “The love I received from the public felt surreal to me. And on the other hand, I dreaded what I had to give up being a celebrity.”

Having settled himself down since then, thanks to his agency’s president and his parents, Lee Seung Gi said, “When I look back, it had all been a happy time and I guess it was also a necessary process for me to mature.” He added, “I thought I would live my life well as an entertainer.”

I know Seung Gi because he is in the show business and I watch and love his performances. So it is strange for me to say sometimes I wish he would just be a normal person, not a celebrity or a star, so that he did not have to suffer all the negative sides of the Kpop world. I know without a doubt that he will live a good life no matter what he chooses to do. And I am willing to sacrifice not seeing him in public anymore (I do have all his CDs, clips, DVD, etc.).

From what he said in this interview, he seemed to make peace with, and enjoy, this profession. So I am happy for that. But again, Seung Gi is the only person that I feel as an audience I have no right to see him in pain / under pressure / being criticized / with no privacy. I just adore him that much.
