I always love performances on Sketchbook/Love Letter over those on MB/Inkigayo, and this performance by him proves to be no exception. His vocals was in great condition and pitch perfect.
During the talk, if I am not wrong it is mentioned that his live band behind him consists of the top Korean musicians, and he credits that to Teacher Lee Sun Hee. I have a feeling that he will be with her in the same entertainment company no matter what as loyalty and gratitude.
Totally agree with you. I remember there was a dispute between fans and Hook (namely the representative) and SG wrote an open letter defending Hook. It’s so rare in this materialistic world someone places loyalty (and gratitude and humility) so prominently. Hook should really thank their lucky star (figuratively and non-figuratively) every day.

But do you notice something? Ever since I asked who has been rating certain comments in this blog as negative and asking them to own up and speak up, my comments have been targeted by those people. I can guess who they are but then since I don’t have any evidence, I would rather not waste my time even mentioning their names. Their actions have only further reinforced my opinion of them – immature, petty, pathetic, cowardly. Why do some people waste their time coming here JUST to click the ‘Rate This’ part? Maybe they have nothing better to do with their time. Well, I have better things to do with my time and the opinions of people who are immature, petty, pathetic and cowardly are not worth my time of day. Such people are really sad and pitiful.
How DOES he do it? How does SeungGi appear to be HOT AND SEXY one minute, then utterly adorable, endearing, sweet, charming and humble the next??!!
How does he regulate his breathing so well that he does not appear to be out-of-breath even after singing the physically- and vocally-challenging ‘Slave’??!! I am breathless just WATCHING him croon so smoothly and prance around so energetically and so effortlessly!! 😉

You know Ms. Kay only Our SeungGi can do that..ahaha ^^ I dont understand anything on the interview part.. But can sense our SeungGi´s high respect on the host.. and he almost act like he´s startruck..ahaha^^ I think he´s also really a fan of that show, and just soo happy to be there and promote his album.. ^^
I love his expression when he sing Are´nt we friends.. its a sad song but he´s smiling and can feel his happiness.. ^^
Hehe!! I can’t agree with you more, Sarah dear!! SeungGi did appear somewhat starstruck as you said! But then, so was Yoo Hee Yeol himself!! Hehe…I think it was a case of both of them being starstrucked!! 😉

The live band also really enjoyed when they play it and the whole atmosphere there was daebak.

I´ve watched it for the nth time..!ahahaha ^^ what words can I say..?! I am lost for words..^^ He totally ROCKED the SLAVE performance..!! Thats what we call ENERGY and PASSION!! and how can he be a totally rockstar and adorable/cute at the same time??!! Only our SeungGi can do that!! ^^
On Smile Boy.. he´s a little bit on hold.. really can notice that he´s holding his voice, ah poor SeungGi, I think he still have colds that time.. but then He still performed with his heart and full of energy.. if its not with a little harsh voice, you´ll not know that he´s sick that time.. ^^

Who would have believed that he had cold when he performed? Loved the stage and he looked more relaxed and seemed enjoying every second. Real pleasure to watch. Also the “talk” was very entertaining, he had a very good sync with MC Yoo. MC Yoo said in the beginning, in his 2 years of hosting the show, for first time, he is looking at SeungGi as a celebrity (not as a guest) that SeungGi is so handsome and nice looking. SeungGi said, when he had an initial interview with Sketchbook’s writers, he was told MC Yoo, does not like young, well known and healthy people on the show. MC Yoo answered, “yes, right, you are so not my type:) Two of them really got along well even though it’s their first time to meet each other. Because of the time factor, they shortened the talk as well.. I heard he sang bit of “Love Time” which wasn’t aired.
Thank you for this. With bits of information from viewers like you (are you Korean?) and articles, I am piecing the talk part together. A lot of people love SG singing live. Me too of course. But I also enjoy his interviews so much. He is such a witty, charming, and self deprecating interviewee. Every one of his interviewers cannot help but fall for him.

I am so glad he has a song which is sexy with a rocky element. It’s a refreshing change from all the cutesy or ballad songs he always sang in the past. I love all his songs of course, but I really enjoy watching him sing Slave and Tonight. He is just soooo good! But I hope he takes care of his throat, kinda scary to see his veins pop out sometimes. But, Seunggi, you’re just so great! Lucky are the fans who are going to the concert, you’re surely in for a treat!

mot to be a human echo or something but I love everything about the slave performance- from the attire (when he shed his jacket, OMG!!!!!!!!!! I may have fainted for a few seconds) to the more confident singing than the 4th music broadcast. I want to see a kick ass, drop- jaw- from- too- much- drooling, smokin hot dance number of slave, really! This has got to be his opening number to set the tone or the encore. he should do more songs like this but Im not sure if my heart can take so much more of this awesome goodness! watching again for the nth to the infinity time…by the way this must be the song he’s performing with the few unbuttoned shirt. oh ..oh….cant finish thought…lungs bursting…heart breaking riiibss, aaakkk…
