TK2H Jung Man Shik “Lee Seung Gi is a sponge-like friend…”

Anxiously waiting for SeungGi’s own interview articles… 😛 The picture below was used in a news article on the Mnet 20’s Choice, I don’t remember seeing it before. Could it be a preview of pictures to come? 😛

Jung Man Shik (aka Comrade Rhee Kang Seok) was asked about SeungGi in his recent interview:

How was it working with Lee Seung Gi?

He is not only witty and well-mannered, but also very open-minded and has the ability to absorb other people’s strengths. Whenever we were to act together, he would ask, “Hyung, what if we do it this way?”

ahaha, i already discussed about the WHOLE LOT indirect advertisements in TK2H with my fellow hearties. and for the note, there are many, not only Dunkin. ~~~
but yeah, thanks to the ads we still enjoyed the ‘royalty’ vibe until the very last scene of episodes !

why is Sueng Gi like sponge when they became a friend?

  3. Normahliza says:

What does he mean like sponge when they become a friend, in English that sentence doesn’t really have good meaning, it imply that someone who is taking advantage of another or something like that? I can’t believe Lee Seung Gi is like that.

Read what Tryp nicely translated carefully. It means Seung Gi “has the ability to absorb other people’s strengths.” It means he is a quick learner. A very good thing!

I think Seung Gi is being a sponge because he’s lacking more of experience so when he encounters people/actors who has more experience than him he never let the oppurtunity pass him by. Maybe thats the reason why Jung Man Sik said Seung Gi is like a sponge, taking the strength from others. it is more of a positive attitude because Seung Gi never give up and really work and study hard. Remember in one episode of 1n2d 77-78 he was the captain, the members ask him if they could sleep and rest? Seung Gi said they need to come up with a game to play. The caption said :”they didn’t know Seung Gi has the tendency to tire people for working so hard”.

I think it’s done in a metaphorical way. I am sure that Jung Man Shik-ssi meant it in a positive way. Maybe it means that he can easily adapt to the situation and the like and the actors he worked with saw it in a positive way. Seung Gi is not the type who will use other people for his own benefit or his advantage..:) He’s got a big heart for everyone..Fighting! ^___^

Saying someone is like a sponge in English doesn’t necessarily have negative connotions- sometimes it merely means that someone takes in information and knowledge quickly, that they’re adaptable and quick on the uptake. It can be a compliment as well.

  4. kaka says:

I do not understand the mean..huhu

  5. zurah90 says:

Everyone loves him! He deserved it! He’s learning much with his seniors. And that is so like him 😉

  6. LOL. Sponge absorbs liquid quickly, doesn’t it?
Same goes to LSG, he absorbs (or adapt) new things quickly. He is a fast learner.
