A true story: last week I was having dinner with friends and among them a girl, a recent Harvard graduate, and I started talking about K-drama. I mentioned Brilliant Legacy’s Chinese name and the girl asked me to confirm that it was BL that I liked. Then she said she watched it too and loved it. Her mother was a little surprised as the girl was the serious bookworm type and wouldn’t normally “waste” time on TV. It turned out she was in a summer training program in Beijing and caught the drama there. Just to show the charms of Seung Gi and BL are really far-reaching.
