Here’s another fan account translated by our hard-working AY: 😀
Another fan was supposed to go for the fan event held between June 5 and 9. But right before her departure, we were informed there was a change in schedule and she could not go and I had to fill her place. But I do not speak Korean and I usually travel in groups. Luckily, after some pleading, a Chinese-speaking staff from the fan club agreed to accompany me.
Since the other fan that I know was one of the organizers, we had to be there earlier. We set off at 6 am. On the bus, we ran into the staff from the official fan club so there was no fear of getting lost. We arrived at 10 am but the event did not start until 3 pm. To kill the time, I bought a ticket and went in to look. Dramia was much bigger than I thought. I headed to the Hundred Years Inn and the Intangible Martial Arts School, but no one was there. I was about to wander into the forest when Seung Gi’s manager stopped me from going near. I did not get a chance to take any photos. But there were 4 hours before the fan event. I was so tired that I wanted to just lie on the ground and take a nap.
But of course I did not sleep. What if someone saw me? So I just sat at the entrance to the forest and waited. Around 12 noon, people started coming out of the forest. I tried to avoid their gazes. I was afraid that they would give me a queer look because they thought that I was some crazy fan coming alone all the way to see Seung Gi. Suddenly, a black SUV appeared. Out of curiosity, I looked and there he was, sitting at the front, laughing and talking with the staff!
I thought the car would continue to drive down the hill and so I decided to go somewhere else and look around. But when I got out there, Seung Gi had already got out of the SUV and was changing into another car. I did not rush forward but two Japanese fans did and Seung Gi said goodbye to Wol Ryung, got on the car and left. Now, I could go into the forest. I met some Korean fans there and found out that they were filming ep. 21 and 22.
After wandering through the forest, we sat down and waited for Seung Gi again. I am grateful to the Korean fans for helping me pass the time and giving me something to eat while I was waiting. At about 1 pm, some staff returned. We were on alert again because we did not know which car Seung Gi was in. When we saw his manager, we stood by that car and waited. The manager reminded us again not to take photos. And so we waited. Suddenly, Seung Gi alighted and then got back into the car again. And we saw Seo Hwa too. She was pretty and courteous.
At the fan event, I was assigned to help out at the coffee truck with a Thai fan. The staff came in, ate, got their gift, had a cup of coffee and left with smiles on their faces. Although I might not be able to see Seung Gi eat, it was still nice helping out.
Finally, Seung Gi’s car showed up. He got out, wearing his costume but once he saw the fans with cameras, he got back into the car again. The manager came over and stopped us from taking pictures, Then Seung Gi went into the washroom and went back to the car again. We waited for a long time and during the wait, we saw Suzy and Tae Seo. When almost everyone had left, Seung Gi changed clothes and came down. He was in a good mood and ‘Hi-5’ with the people there. I thought I had to be on duty by the coffee truck but the Korean fan told me to hurry in to eat. When I got in, Seung Gi was looking for a seat. After he sat down, he saw all the fans standing there, so he invited all of us to eat at the tables near him. While everyone was hesitating, I took a brave step and walked towards the table. As I came close to Seung Gi, I couldn’t help but stopped and talked to him. I shook his hand and told him I was from Hong Kong. He smiled happily and the other fans followed and started lining up to shake his hands. I picked a seat where I could take a good look at him. He was eating and chatting happily with the people around and took a few glances our way.
After dinner, we had our group photos. He requested us to do the ‘ano’ with him and then took a few solo shots in various poses. He was surprised to see the football jersey and the banner, signed on it, thanked us and left.
