15.09.08 News Tidbits – Lee Seung Gi

The importance of clicks (on official sites)…

According to a news article, NJttW is about to become the first ever web contents in Korea to pass the break-even point and realize a profit through advertising revenue alone.

NJttW (including teasers & press con clips) already has over 15 million views on Naver TVCast as of September 8. The break-even point is reported to be 20 million views.

The advertising revenue is divided between 2 parties (tvN & Naver) based on # of clicks. With Korea being such a small market for web contents though, even adding up sponsorship and exports, there have been very few success stories. So for NJttW to realize a profit through only internet & mobile advertising revenue, and at such a fast pace, CJ E&M seems very happy and proud in this press interview. 😛
