16.02.08 News Tidbits – Lee Seung Gi

A DCLSG fan read this in a cafe somewhere:

Since it’s Lunar New Year today, soldiers (not sure if all of them) get to call their parents.
Someone who enlisted on the same day as SeungGi told his family that he saw SeungGi very frequently, and SeungGi’s really good-looking.

Hopefully SeungGi was able to talk to his parents too!

Well, I don’t know anything about the military rules, but the logistics seems to be a problem too. I read the original cafe post, and that parent said the phone call lasted a little over 5 minutes. If that’s the average time allowed, only 10 people can call home per phone per hour. But who knows how many phones they have available and how many soldiers there are. They might not be able to accommodate everyone in a day. That parent said some people got calls the day before, so s/he was anxious not knowing when the son could call.

I asked my sister in-law who is a Korean yesterday. Yes she says that the soldiers get to call to their parents once but it’s up to the orders so not sure if Seung Gi has that luck to get call to his parents on the 1st Lunar New Year Day.
