16.03.26 News Tidbits – Lee Seung Gi

Someone posted on the Special Forces parents’ cafe that recruits including SeungGi will enter the 797th Class of Airborne Training Center tomorrow.

Hope SeungGi and the other recruits complete training safely!

A dclsg fan says the length of training changes every year, but recently, it’s been 5 weeks.

Another fan says SeungGi will be promoted to Private First Class after this training. (But if the training is going to last 5 weeks, it’ll be May already, and soldiers typically get promoted after 3 months anyway. 😛 )

As regularly Seung Gi will get promoted to Private 1st Class on May 1st, right? And if they plan to promote him after this training then it it’d be around May 9th. Although it’s bit later than the expected date but I think it’s still OK. If the day before he was announced to get into SWC and even till the time before this new tidbits abt his parachute training course TODAY, I just see that day he will get promoted to Private 1st Class as some good day as a fan, but now, after the information that Seung Gi might get promoted to Private 1st Class after the training, that day immediatley becomes a very specialy day to me. Because it means Seung Gi will complete the parachute training before that day in safety and even proudly as a soldier and a man as well. Since we all know that Seung Gi has acrophobia for years, so that day would mean Seung Gi has completely gone through his limit of fear.

May 1 is a Sunday, and it’s exactly 5 weeks from tomorrow. So either way, I think SeungGi will be promoted on May 1.

OMG I misread the calendar for 6 weeks lol. So it might be Seung Gi will still be promoted on the expected date and meanwhile it’s also the day Seung Gi completes his 5-week training course, right?

I thought Seung-Gi was going to be doing administrative duties. Why does he have to have such extensive training including parachute training? I really don’t understand.

    • He has to complete the training as all the rest is mandatory for all Airborne units.

    • Anonymous says:

It’s already been said from the beginning since he’s assigned to SWC, he’ll still have his field training with others.

Basically everyone in 13th Airborne Special Forces Brigade of SWC, from the commander chief to the recruit like Seung Gi must know how to use the parachute to jump from the air.
As some preivous articles pointed out, It’s for in case of emergency war alarm during the time he serves so not only parachute training, he also has to pass all of the basic training classes for SWC soldier.

  7. I pray everything goes well. I am very proud of Him, especially to face His fears and complete th training. I am sure we will hear good news this 5 weeks to come and we need to keep sending Him good energyand pray He overcame any obstacle. Sweetie, we are all waiting for you, keep fighting!
