Excuse me but you making a comparison between mv views with movie view totally doesn’t make sense….First of all, SeungGi has always been more known and established as an actor than a singer especially internationally. And ballad is not appealing to all. Besides the song isn’t promoted, well after all his music career has always been poorly promoted and managed anyway. (Most of his mv are so poorly done and unflattering, who’s actually gonna watch them so many times honestly. I blame this on his hopeless agency)
And by that logic, if you’re afraid that he might not have big fanbase to back him up for his movie, then DO’s movie, Pure Love won’t be flopped so hard since EXO has a large fanbase. If the movie is good, people will watch nonetheless, fans or non fans.
Do you honestly think those A-list movie stars like Song Kang Ho or Hwang Jung Min have huge fanbase? No. Actors are not like idols who have dedicated fandom. But they do have mass public recognition. That’s why at times their movie can draw less viewers and at times it can really be doing so well till it reached 10M+. Movie is all about good storyline, directors history success and a little star power which is a no problem to SeungGi since he has a considerably huge public recognition.
Just wishing that Goonghap has a good and solid storyline and may surpass the first sequel.
I agree with Lel (on the MVs part), let’s get him views on his MVs Airens please. Meet Someone Like Me has yet to get half million views. And “And Goodbye” too, “Forest” & “Invite”, you can make playlists of the MVs in each playlist repeat 1 MV 10 times. Then open a private tab (incognito) and go to the playlist and play it. When it’s done, open another playlist for another MV and play it. When you’re done playing all the playlists, close the tab. Open a new one and do the same thing.
Please, can we get Return 10M and the others at least 5M?

One hour time difference between China and South Korea, on our side, release date is 3/30, “yesterday” in the content should be 3/29
I hope Goonghap’s storyline is strong enough like its precedor and gets better reviews and better results, because let’s be honest, Love Forecast got its almost 2M goers from Seung Gi’s name and his chemistry with MCW. The movie was below average.
yes movie should’ve been better considering director. but he was trying too hard to make it all, i don’t know. BUT Love Forecast was 2nd highest rom-com theatre viewers in 2015 (1st was that movie w/ hyojoo which had a bunch of cast memebers). compare viewer #s of love forecast to the very similar released rom-com movie also w MCW earlier this year. says it all.
Can’t agree more. Love Forecast’s storyline fell short of my expectation. I find the movie utterly a disappointment. Surprised somehow that it still can surpass break even point when a lot of movie this year barely reach 1 million viewers, for example Mood of the Day which is of similar genre. Anyway, don’t forget to credit the director too as his previous works are considerably doing well but his first ever romcom movie just showed how he should just stick to his usual melo genre.

I also thought so, but it depends on his words in Korean. It’d be great for him to produce a movie and expand more, but I’m afraid I won’t see his face, unless he plays the lead in his productions 😛

But I don’t think Seung Gi mean it that way as some fans say here, neither abt his upcoming movie “Goonghap” neither him to produce a movie himself. Of course the 10-million-viewer movie is not that hard if Seung Gi accept the offers of casting in a blockbuster movie which literally produced with a huge budget and a bunch of movie stars as other young stars often do so far, but I don’t think it’s the meaning Seung Gi wants to refer. Base on his interviews in the past, I think Seung Gi wants to mean that he wishes in future he can touch all the people’s heart by his acting, with a goal in detail is a “10-million-viewer movie”. On another words he wishes to make a real blockbuster movie in term of box office by his sincere acting and also by the movie’s great storyline alone, not by anything flashy beisde.
