A dclsg fan saw this comment yesterday in a SeungGi post on a site that’s geared towards guys; it seems to be written by someone who is or was a SWC soldier.
The 3-week airborne training is mandatory, and as a battalion soldier, he’ll do aircraft parachute training every 3 months. He’s similar to administrative staff, but Lee Seung Gi participates in Inland Tactics (training), so he also did long-distance march. Also, as a SWC soldier, he has to do a 2-hour physical training routine after running 5-8km every day. Even though there’s no combat training, the physical training is mandatory, and it makes you vomit for 2 months. Because battalion soldiers have to follow almost all the Noncommissioned Officer Training, it can be quite troublesome.
This one is a few days old already. A SWC commissioned officer left this comment under a SeungGi article on Naver.
I’m a commissioned officer serving in the same unit as PFC Lee Seung Gi. PFC Lee Seung Gi lives more diligently and properly than any SWC soldiers, and his good manners are just like on TV. So now I’ve grown to like PFC Lee Seung Gi more than before he enlisted. SWC battalion intelligence soldiers are not like the Operational Detachment Team, but because they are under SWC, they live and train more ruggedly than combat soldiers in an infantry troop. So today, as a ROK SWC comrade, I continue to cheer for PFC Lee Seung Gi who salutes “unity” in a strong voice.
