CJ E&M and Hallyu star Lee Seung Gi will provide assistance to an education contents donation event for low-income female students in the US.
CJ E&M will run a booth ‘Girls Education’ at KCON 2014, the largest Hallyu convention in North America to be held on August 9 and 10, to help provide high-quality education opportunities to teenage female students who cannot receive a proper education for various reasons.
After accepting donations of various education contents, like books and school supplies, and teaching aids through this booth, CJ E&M plans to deliver them, under the names of Lee Seung Gi and other Hallyu stars participating in KCON 2014, to NGO ‘WriteGirl’ that supports teenage female students.
On August 10, Lee Seung Gi who’s active as a multi-entertainer will be at the booth to encourage donations, along with student volunteers. Everyone participating in the donation event will receive a special KCON 2014 badge, and every 50th donor will also receive a t-shirt autographed by Lee Seung Gi.

I am so proud of Seung Gi for this thoughtful fundraising. Remember Psy advised him to try and understand women. Being the good student he is, he worked at it and is demonstrating great sensitivity to women’s issues throughout. It is amazing that such a young person can understand how hard it is to be a woman, and all the struggles they face. Saranjae to our artist!
